
The Exmoor Friends (formerly Exmoor U3A) November Talk – Frazer Lawrence, British Army
The Exmoor Friends invite Frazer Lawrence to share his personal reflections on his time in the British Army in Dulverton Town Hall on Wednesday 27 November.
Frazer Lawrence spent a period spanning some 32 years of service in the British Army and encompassing multiple operational deployments.
He will describe his early years commanding Gurkhas, his middle years commanding Kingsmen in the 1st Battalion the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment, and the twilight of his Army career as a senior officer attached the United States Army in Iraq.
He will talk about the highs and lows of being a company and then a battalion commander in Afghanistan and then as a senior officer deployed to Iraq during the liberation of Mosul. He will share personal observations about leadership along the way as he takes you on his journey from young lieutenant in the Far East through to brigadier in the Middle East.
