Dulverton Players present Noel Coward’s ‘Blithe Spirit’ for their autumn production.  This much loved farce will be performed from Wednesday 6 to Saturday 9 November in Dulverton Town Hall at 7.30pm.  Doors open at 7pm.

Noel Coward described ‘Blithe Spirit’ as “an improbable farce in three acts”.  The play concerns the socialist and novelist Charles Condomine who invites the eccentric medium and clairvoyant Madame Arcati to his house to conduct a seance, hoping to gather material for his next book.

The scheme backfires when he ends up haunted by the ghost of his willful and temperamental first wife, Elvira.  Elvira makes continual attempts to disrupt Charles’s marriage to his second wife Ruth, who cannot see or hear the ghost.
