The Dulverton Artisan Food, Drink & Crafts Festival is a glorious summer event celebrating the many artisan producers located across Exmoor, the Quantocks and Devon. The event was held on Saturday 6 July on the Exmoor Lawns beside the River Barle in the heart of Dulverton – a beautiful location for this popular festival. The sun shone (intermittently!) and very many visitors came along to our charming town to enjoy the festival with free admission.
Who was at the Festival
Alongside live music and hot and cold refreshments, over 30 local producers had a variety of stall – a selection of gifts, clothing, homeware, leather goods and of course home-produced meat, beer, spirits, puddings, chutneys, preserves, dog treats… to name just a few!
See below a list of many of the artisans who attended in 2024!
A very special Thank You!

I’m Paul Loader and I started Loader’s Cider as a hobby in 2015 with my son George and made some very good cider from local unwanted cider apples from old organically managed and often neglected orchards, most of which were planted and supplied the old Taunton Cider co. For a few years, it was a learning curve finding out about the better varieties – we then entered the Bath and West cider competition and won Silver and Bronze in the farmhouse category. Our ciders are of the typical West-Somerset type using higher tannin but slightly lower acid varieties giving the cider a very golden colour and softness on the palate and a good apple taste.

Hello I’m Alice. Flowers and nature have always been my thing. I spent most of my childhood outside catching leaves, creating dens, petal art, and running bare foot through the grass with spiders in my hair. After my Psychology degree, I started work in a wonderfully wild florist shop – to reconnect with my artistic side, and to learn the industry. I fell in love with the wedding floristry process; the friendships formed and excitement of bringing flowery visions to life. I knew I wanted to connect deeper to the journey by growing the flowers too so off I went to train in Horticulture; learning about how, why and where a flower will be happiest. And so, armed with this knowledge, and ever enthused by the wonderment of Mother Nature, I began MeadowFolk. Where floristry and flower growing go hand in hand. Where I am able to grow flowers from seed that then become part of someone’s most magical day. Where I can create bouquets to look as if they’ve just been picked from the Meadow. And where I use flowers as a pure celebration of LOVE.

Rupert Smith Wildlife Photography
I am a wildlife cameraman, photographer and film maker based on Exmoor in the UK. I have credits for over 50 TV programs on BBC2, BBC4, ITV, C4 and others.
Having spent most of my life growing up in the wilds of Devon, Exmoor is a place I know intimately. My wildlife photography is all with wild animals and birds and for me finding the wildlife, learning about it and respecting it is just as important as “getting the shot”. I quite often take no photographs when others would disturb an animal just to get their shot. Through this approach all my images from Exmoor are unique and I have gained a great understanding of wildlife behaviour and appreciate the animals birds and reptiles that all have to share their space with us on the doorstep.
