‘Dulverton Sounds’ Music Festival is a brand new event for Dulverton for 2024!
On the second May Bank Holiday Saturday – 25th May 2024 – the Exmoor Lawns beside the River Barle in our pretty Exmoor town will be buzzing with the sounds of live music from 3 to 10pm at the ‘Dulverton Sounds’ Music Festival.
There’ll be a large marquee featuring music of almost every genre – a big brass band, folk music, a shanty band, acoustic guitars and more. Sing along to a session of music from the pop divas – or one with country and western tunes. Something to suit every taste!
Who’s in the lineup….?

At 3pm hear the Edenbridge Town Band, a fabulous traditional brass band dating back to the end of the 19th Century! Today, the band plays many engagements and concerts throughout the year with members ages ranging from 10 to 70+!
From 4pm discover the beautiful music of Foxwillow with singer/songwriters Celia Sainsbury and Martin Dearmun and Hazel Prior on the Celtic harp. Their original songs encompass elements of folk, country and rock, enhanced by a strong use of vocal harmonies to create a unique sound. This is underpinned by Martin’s crisp rhythm guitar, Celia’s melodic flute and clarinet, and Hazel’s ethereal harp.
Who will be able to resist dancing and singing along to a set of Country & Western tunes (at 5pm) and a set of songs by the Pop Divas (at 8pm)? The sensational effervescent Elizabeth Phipps will enchant us all!
At 5.30pm Jules Reason and Rob Male will be entertaining us all with their style of rock music on acoustic guitars and vocals. Check out their Facebook page – Jules Reason and The Fire.
At 6.30pm, what could be more fun than the singing of The Jurassix Shanty Band! Happily describing themselves as “Ten fossils living on the Jurassic coast having fun singing sea shanties and songs of the sea”.
And to close the Festival at 8.30pm, we guarantee you’ll enjoy the fabulous Mint Juleps who will bring an uplifting cocktail of retro jazz/pop well-known hits, delivered with an interesting, vintage twist. Jim plays guitar and sings, while Amy brings some glamour with her vocals and a selection of instruments and percussion. Songs from Meghan Trainor, Paloma Faith, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Amy Winehouse, Django Reinhardt, Elle King,The Beatles, Steely Dan and many more…all played in a new jazz/pop style.
The Festival will end at 10pm.
