Paul Loader started Loader’s Cider as a hobby in 2015 with his son George and made some very good cider from local unwanted cider apples from old organically managed and often neglected orchards, most of which were planted and supplied the old Taunton Cider Company.
Loader’s Ciders are of the typical West Somerset type, using higher tannin but slightly lower acid varieties giving the cider a very golden colour and softness on the palate and a good apple taste.

Moor and Meadow flower farm began in 2020 when I decided to turn my passion for plants into a business.
We farm beef and sheep on approximately 500 acres near Knowstone just off the edge of Exmoor National Park, so combining my love of farming and love of plants, our new enterprise seemed like a good fit. Flower farming is so different to gardening, it’s a crop after all like any other and it needs to be grown and harvested in the same way you’d grow your vegetables – it’s not about having swathes of beautiful flowers to admire sadly!
We grow over 40 different types of cut flower and foliage, our first blooms coming in late March and going though until October. We also dry flowers so that we can supply bunches and bouquets all year round.

Rupert Smith is a wildlife cameraman, photographer and film maker based on Exmoor in the UK.
“Having spent most of my life growing up in the wilds of Devon, Exmoor is a place I know intimately. My wildlife photography is all with wild animals and birds and for me finding the wildlife, learning about it and respecting it is just as important as “getting the shot”. I quite often take no photographs when others would disturb an animal just to get their shot.
Through this approach all my images from Exmoor are unique and I have gained a great understanding of wildlife behaviour and appreciate the animals birds and reptiles that all have to share their space with us on the doorstep. I hope that by visiting my website, speaking with me at shows that more people can be inspired to look after what we have and maybe create something new for our wildlife to thrive in.”

We are a small family run business based from our home here on the Holnicote National Trust Estate in Selworthy. Living on Exmoor all our lives, we moved to the village of Selworthy 4 years ago. Making our preserves all began with an abundance of home grown Runner Beans & an old family recipe. After our first batch of Runner Bean Chutney, there was no stopping us! Before we knew it, our pantry was full of delicious preserves.
We established The Selworthy Pantry in November 2019 and we have been overwhelmed with the support and feedback we have had so far and are looking forward to what the future holds for us. Everything is done in our cottage kitchen, and we only ever cook in small batches to ensure we keep the true authentic homemade taste. We do everything by hand, from stirring the pot to labelling each jar.
