“Introduction to Wines – a Classic Collection”
Nikki and Dale Jarrett, N & D Wine School, will be showing eight of the classic wine varietals. These will include Pinot Grigio / Pinot Gris, a Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and finally for our whites a Chardonnay. Our red collection will start with a Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, a Syrah / Shiraz , finishing with a Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines chosen will be classic examples of these grapes illustrating the characteristics that we should be able to scent and taste from these varietals.
Event and Membership Details
Welcome wine served on arrival at 7.30pm, talk begins once everyone is seated at 8pm.
During the two-hour tasting our speaker will introduce us to a selection of about eight different wines; cheese and crackers will be served.
£20 an evening’s tasting and talk for members.
£28 for non-members.
Yearly membership (September to August) £15 (initially this will include a box of 6 tasting glasses).
