Holworthy Farmhouse

Welcome to Holworthy Farm, I am Gillian Payne and I have been offering accommodation in our farmhouse for over 40 years. The farm is a 200-acre livestock farm on the banks of Wimbleball Lake in the parish of Brompton Regis, situated in the heart of  Exmoor, Somerset. This peaceful valley was flooded in 1977 to create one of the most scenic reservoirs ever. Idyllic for walking, fishing, water sports, exploring nature trails, pretty villages, and escape from the pressures of life.

Holworthy is a unique location – it has so much to offer for that different weekend to suit everyone, without the stress of airports! Wildlife safaris on Exmoor, boat trips around the lake, lots of activities on the lake which the farmhouse overlooks and there is a path down to it from the farm. Local trekking centre with escorted rides over the moors. Everything can be organised for you when booking or on arrival.

I have also had a timber studio built which is used for retreats. Do look at the retreat page to see what we have to offer. For a relaxing pamper treat we have local qualified masseurs and beauticians who come here to give our guests treatments. These need to be booked in advance, and just help to make the most of a relaxing break.
