October Tasting – 31 October

Karen Dutton Retail Wine Consultant with Christopher Piper Wines

Tonight we will be escaping the dark skies of Halloween on Exmoor and visiting a sun drenched Portugal.

Karen Dutton is a Retail Wine Consultant with Christopher Piper Wines who are based over the border in Ottery St Mary.  Karen will be showcasing the varied delights of Portuguese wines.

Karen joined Christopher Piper Wines in 2021, having ‘retired’ in 2019 after 32 years in the Civil Service working exclusively at the Met Office. She retrained and is now qualified to WSET Advanced Level 3 in Wine. A self-proclaimed wine geek, Karen loves everything about wine apart from the hangover (her words not mine – but I would agree!), and takes a particular interest in the wines of Italy and Portugal.

We will be welcoming you with our first Portuguese wine, then proceeding to enjoy two further whites, a rosé, four reds and of course a Port to finish. Accompanied as always with some cheese and nibbles.
